Application Performance monitor the performance of their website with their solution, WebTuna.  Results showed that the website did not perform well for some international visitors and got worse as the distance from the UK increased.

The site had been created with lots of rich content but this meant a large number of page elements which resulted in a large number of browser roundtrips – these roundtrips slowed down page load time. 

Application Performance needed to increase the performance of their website while maintaining its rich content.

The Aptimize Solution

Application Performance installed the Aptimize Website Accelerator on their Apache web servers, the results were immediate;

  • 64% reduction first view page load times
  • Homepage elements reduced from 57 to 16
  • Yahoo YSlow grade increased from F to B
