WAX 2.2 Now Available to Download

The latest version of our Website Accelerator - WAX (2.2) is now available. If you already have an account you can get the latest version from your 'Downloads' page. If you want to try WAX for the first time just create an account for access to the download.

Here's whats new:

  • Simplified UI for a faster configuration experience
  • Enhanced CDN integration – fast and simple leverage of CDNs and domain sharding
  • Named resource sets (developer extensibility increasing reuse of common resources across pages)
  • Improved tracing and diagnostic tools
  • Added support for configuration and management of load balanced clusters
  • Reporting of internal operational statistics via config too.
  • Added ability to resize an image explicitly using a custom rule

Aptimize SharePoint Accelerator Launched

SharePoint logoSharepoint Accelerator complements our existing Website Accelerator (WAX), making accelerating SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010-based websites and intranets easier to install and configure with even more speed.

Existing customers will have the option of using either WAX or SharePoint Accelerator or both.

SharePoint Accelerator includes;

  • SharePoint centric configuration UI – for a faster and simpler configuration experience
  • Customized settings for SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010 for optimal performance

  • Supported websites: Static HTML, PHP/MySQL e.g. Joomla, Invision Power Board.
  • Apache versions: 2.2 and above
  • Operating System: Ubuntu 7.10, Debian 5, Fedora Core 5, RHEL 5, CentOS 5.3, Gibc 2.5+
  • Hardware specifications: 150MB RAM (50MB for high load + 100MB for memory cache (configurable). 32/64 bit supported.
  • Server environment: Supports single server, supports Name-Based Virtual Hosting.
  • SSL support: Supports SSL & non-SSL web pages.
