We're Hiring: Sales & Channel Administrator

Join the TeamAptimize is an award winning Wellington based company who produce a world-first software component that speeds up web sites.

Due to rapid growth, a sales position has been created to manage both direct and channel administration. This is an exciting role in a young high growth company where you will work with international name-brand customers including Fortune 500 and Global 1000 businesses, in a high growth area – solving web site and intranet performance issues.

Aptimize TeamWe have a high-energy, fast-paced environment, with the entire team committed to helping customers.

You will be responsible but not limited to the following:

  • General administrative duties
  • Set up technical and sales training
  • Monthly invoicing & reporting duties
  • Manage customer engagement and sales process
  • Collate channel opportunities and regular status reporting
  • Maintain customer database
  • Co-ordinate/assist with advertising/PR and lead generation strategies
  • Organise events 

It’s a prerequisite you will have a minimum 3+ year’s administration experience within a sales or project environment preferably within IT. You will have experience in a customer facing role with a proven track record of meeting deliverables to deadlines. The role will be suited to a sales person looking to grow their current skill set with the opportunity for career growth in the company. The hours and variety of work will require some flexibility due to global time zones and the size of the team. Aptimize At VSLive!

This week, 2-6 August, Aptimize will be exhibiting at the VSLive! Conference at Microsoft Conference center on campus in Redmond, WA. VSLive! provides developers with real-world, practical training needed to solve the .NET development challenges.

We are excited to be at this sold out event because we get a chance to talk to developers about  web performance and faster websites. We get to catch up with customers, meet new ones, exchange ideas, and generally get to be absorbed in what we love - fast websites.

Peter Dengate Thrush Visits

Peter Dengate Thrush, Chair of the New Zealand Internet Industry Awards, visited the Aptimize office today and spent time talking with staff and learning about how our Website Accelerator (WAX) works to speed up some of the biggest sites in the world.

Peter congratulated the team on our recent New Zealand Internet Industry Award.

lowering the barriers and improving access for every internet user."

Bio:

Peter Dengate Thrush is a barrister practicing in civil litigation and specializing in intellectual property, competition and Internet law.

He was the legal advisor to InternetNZ from 1996 to 1999, advising it on the formation of its registry company (Domainz). He served as chair from December 1999 for two terms. He is a past chair of InternetNZ's International Affairs Committee, and a member of its Legal and Regulatory Committee.

Peter is the Chairman of the Board of ICANN.

Aptimize Wins Internet Industry Award

New Zealand Internet Industry Award

We are very proud to win the New Zealand Internet Industry award for Internet Innovator.

The Internet Industry Awards recognize excellence  for using the Internet as an enabling platform for business, education and society.  We had dinner and a great conversation with both the Honourable Steven Joyce, Minister of Communications and Technology and Peter Dengate Thrush, Chairman of the board of ICAAN.   Thanks to the judges, Internet NZ and the Liz Dengate Thrush Foundation for  a great night.

We're at Velocity 22-24 June

Aaron BellinghamAaron Bellingham, Business Manager. Aaron is the first point of contact for getting a faster website. Aaron coordinates business and technical information you need, and sets up trials and production. Often we can speed up your website on the same day you contact us. The only thing faster than our website accelerator products is Aptimize’s service.

Aaron Sinclair Aaron 'Beaker' Sinclair, Software Development Engineer (Linux). Beaker is Aptimize’s lead developer for Aptimize’s Website Accelerator for Linux, and architected some of Aptimize’s advanced techniques for CSS optimization. Beaker loves talking about the underlying technologies we use, so track him down at Booth 300.
