Apache RPO is here
The Apache RPO beta Website Accelerator is now available for download from http://www.getrpo.com/Product/Apache. Update: you can now trial the Linux/Apache version.
What it does
For intranets and web sites, pages that load fast locally are often slow when accessed over long distance or internationally. This is the effect of network latency - every image, style, script takes longer to travel from the server to browser over long distance. Because of this, up to 90% of a web page's load time is due to the browser making multiple journeys back and forth to the server.
Apache RPO Website Accelerator is a web server component that dynamically optimizes the page to increase performance. HTML, scripts and styles are merged into fewer files, meaning less journeys from browser to server. The RPO Website Accelerator also minifies and compresses each file and increases caching so only files that have changed are requested by the browser for a repeat view of a web page.
Installation
On the download page, you'll find installation distributions for Debian and RedHat and install instructions.
